The Soon-To-Be Awkward Moment
I wanted to make a quick blanket announcement about the awkward moment that is about to unfold. In two tickets, JSConf will be sold out. DO NOT PANIC. There are still seats left for JSConf, but they will only be made available AFTER final speaker selections have been made in order to ensure that everyone who put in to speak has an opportunity to attend and are not penalized by the collection and decision process timeline. I repeat, DO NOT PANIC. We should have all of the speakers sorted out by the end of next week.
To clarify, if you have been selected as a speaker, you will or have received an email indicating such by the Wednesday February 10th, 2010. If you have not been selected as a speaker, which trust us has been a tough process because every submission was absolutely top-notch, you will be notified on February 12th. As with last year, individuals not selected for speaking in Track A will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for JSConf. Also as with last year everyone will have an opportunity to speak in Track B which is scheduled on a first come, first served basis. You will need to have a JSConf ticket in order to present at Track B.
Once individuals not selected have had enough time to procure their tickets, we will open it back up to the general public. There will not be many tickets available, so be prepared to jump! We never expected anything like this in terms of rapid sales, it is very exciting to see the huge amount of interest in JavaScript and JSConf. We have several major announcements still yet to unveil, so stay tuned!

Could you please give us an estimate of when you will be opening the conference registration back up? I had to go through a lot of paperwork to get approved for this conference, and found that registration was closed once I had done so. I've been checking back like crazy every day this week. Please end my misery and tell us when you're going to open up tickets so I don't have to keep twitter stalking you and refreshing your page!
Thanks for the consideration,
Brian
Take care,
Brian
